Skills and Employment
The Core Cities represent revived economies, but still contain much deprivation. As well as spreading the benefits of economic success to excluded groups, it is important that we develop 'high-end' skills in a growing knowledge economy.
This Group works to influence Government thinking and proposals in relation to skills and employment to ensure that the Core Cities are able to both develop the complex skill sets we need to compete internationally and are able to include more of our citizens in our economic growth.
